Testimonials

JMJ Residential Care Home strives to combine a warm home environment with quality professional care, as evidenced by the following testimonials.

"During the last two years of her life, my Mom was lovingly cared for at Jesus, Mary and Joseph Home. At first, I was concerned that she might feel "cabin fever" in a small place. However, it turned out to be the best choice we could make for Mom. During her stay at a larger home, she would go to meals and then spend the rest of her day in her room. She didn't join in social activities because she was hard of hearing. At Jesus, Mary and Joseph home, she was always with people. Mary and Joel Garcia were always kind, caring and available. They went beyond the call of duty to care for their residents. Mom died peacefully in their care.

And I will ALWAYS be grateful to you, Mary and Joel, for what you did for Mom and us. I pray that your homes will continue to be viable."

With prayer and love,

Sr. Rose Miriam

"My mother-in-law, Mrs. Opal Dunn, has been a resident at JMJ Senior Citizen Group Home since May of this year. We feel so fortunate to have found this kind of facility for her. It is a small group home in a residential community where she gets individual assistance in a caring, home-like atmosphere.

We had to move Opal from a larger assisted living facility in May because she needed more care and assistance than the facility was able to provide. She is 96 years old, and her hearing and eyesight problems along with decreasing mobility made it necessary to move her. We did not want to put her in a nursing home but were unable to find other places in this area to meet her needs. We called the Area Agency on Aging and were told about JMJ Group Home, which had just recently become licensed. It was exactly what we were looking for, and we have been so pleased with the care she receives there. Her needs are assessed on a daily basis, and there is close communication with our family. During the day Opal is always in the living area with others around her, so she does not feel isolated like she did in the larger facility. She gets excellent care and is much more content in an atmosphere that feels more like home.

Facilities like this give families added choices when looking for appropriate elder care. There is a real need in this area for small group facilities like JMJ Senior Citizen Group Home."

Sincerely,

Mary Dunn
